Jaton Rash
My Benefactor
I think of ways
To deceive my benefactor
And he punishes me
As a precaution.
For years and years
It has been like this.
We both know that Danger
Is around the next corner
And that Trouble enters the room
Without a knock.
We are so very frustrated.
I say, "I don't need anything"
So he blackens the sky.
He rumbles and he flashes.
When I leave him
I will carry no more than pocket change.
