One lamp

One lamp can cast acoustic light

Inviting, igniting the questions we never even knew to ask

Ringing out demands in all the easy pieces we deserve

To name it, to claim it, to make it our own

A cappella, yet never alone

And so it all begins with the singular voice

that hazards the art of being heard

and discovers that no One is lost

That in this venture, no One is injured

when all are resonant

Well-traveled through all the years

through all the tears that brought us here to this juncture

where we have embraced our instrument

loving, not loathing, ourselves

When all scales are in balance

equal and justly arranged

we will then hear our song

One acoustic truth at a time

until the whole world can sing

Fearlessly … connected
